You may receive an email from Spirit with the option to swap or sell your upcoming flight. These offers provide extra flexibility for Guests who may want to change their travel plans or cancel in exchange for a voucher.

If you receive one of these emails, participation is completely optional.

Why did I receive this email?

Spirit sends swap or sell offers to select Guests who booked a Value travel option based on several factors, including the type of travel option booked and the specific flight.

If you qualify, you’ll receive an email 2–21 days before your trip using the email address on your reservation.

If you didn’t receive an offer, you are not eligible to swap or sell your flight.

What are my options?

Swap your flight

You can choose a different Spirit flight and receive a Spirit voucher for doing so.

  • Your bags and seats usually move to your new flight. If your seat is not available, you can:
    • Select a seat through My Trips or at check-in
    • Call Guest Care for a seat assignment
    • Visit the ticket counter for a seat assignment
  • If your reservation includes a layover, you may change the layover city, but your departure and arrival cities must stay the same.
  • Depending on your booking, your offer may allow you to swap one flight or   all flights in the offer.

Sell your flight

You can cancel your upcoming flight in exchange for a Spirit voucher.

  • Your original flight will be canceled.
    • Note: Canceled flights are not eligible for a refund.
  • You’ll receive a cancellation email and a separate email containing your voucher.
  • You must sell all flights listed in the offer.

Do nothing

If you prefer to keep your current reservation, simply ignore the email.
