We’re committed to making your travel experience seamless and enjoyable, but we know that unexpected issues can occur and sometimes things don’t go as smoothly as we’d like. That’s why we’re here to help and support you every step of the way.

Delayed or Canceled Flights
If your flight was delayed or canceled, you can change or cancel your reservation at www.spirit.com or via our Spirit mobile app. Select "My Trips" tab and enter your last name and confirmation code. 
Stay informed about potential delays or cancelations for your flight by checking your inbox for email notifications. You can also check your flight status here.

Canceled flights by Spirit
If your flight is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, we’re committed to helping you reach your destination as soon as possible.

Uncontrollable Events Include:

  • Severe weather conditions (e.g., hurricanes, blizzards)
  • Air Traffic Control decisions

If your flight is canceled due to an uncontrollable event by Spirit, the following options are available:

1. Receive a refund to the original form of payment

2. Rebooking: Travel on the next available Spirit flight at no additional charge

3. Receive a Spirit Reservation Credit

 

If your flight is canceled due to a reason within our control, we apologize for the inconvenience and offer the following options:

Controllable Events Include:

  • Aircraft maintenance
  • Crew Scheduling conflicts
  • Operational Disruptions

Available Options:

1. Receive a refund to the original form of payment

2. Rebooking: Travel on the next available Spirit flight at no additional charge

3. Receive a Spirit Reservation Credit

4. Hotel accommodation (if an overnight stay is required)

Schedule Changes
If your flight has been rescheduled, we offer the following options depending on the extent of the change:

Change of 60 minutes or less:

  • Any additional voluntary changes you’d like to make will be subject to a fare difference.

Change of 60 minutes or more:
  • Cancel your booking and receive a refund to the original form of payment.
  • You may travel on another Spirit flight within 7 days of your original travel date, subject to availability.
  • Cancel your booking and receive a Spirit Reservation Credit to use towards a new flight.
