Starting February 1, 2026, TSA will offer ConfirmID, a paid service to help travelers without a REAL ID or other acceptable ID verify their identity before boarding.

What is TSA ConfirmID?

TSA ConfirmID is a fee-based option for travelers who:

  • Lost their ID.
  • Do not have a REAL ID or another acceptable form of identification.
This service helps verify identity so Guests can travel safely.

The process usually takes 10–15 minutes, but it could take up to 30 minutes or more.

 
What is REAL ID?
REAL ID is a government standard for secure driver’s licenses and IDs. A REAL ID has a star in the upper right or left corner.
