Add Cancel For Any Reason to your reservation and you’ll be able to cancel your reservation, online, and up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure of the first flight on your reservation with no cancellation charges.  
 

Coverage Options:

  • 100% Coverage – Allows you to cancel your reservation for any reason up to 24 hours before scheduled departure of the first flight on the reservation and guarantees you the choice between a 100% refund of the initial cost of the reservation OR receive 100% of the initial cost of the reservation as a one-year reservation credit valid for any flight available on our website.
     
  • 80% Coverage – Allows you to cancel your reservation for any reason up to 24 hours before scheduled departure of the first flight on your reservation and guarantees you the choice between an 80% refund of the initial cost of the reservation OR receive 100% of the initial cost of the reservation as a one-year reservation credit valid for any flight available on our website.

 

Cancel For Any Reason Overview:

  • Cancel For Any Reason is only available during initial flight-only bookings on spirit.com.
  • Cancel For Any Reason must be purchased for all passengers on the reservation.
  • Cancel For Any Reason will not be available for an existing reservation.
  • All cancellations must be done online on spirit.com more than 24 hours in advance of the scheduled departure of the first flight on your reservation.
  • Cancel For Any Reason will apply to all flights on the reservation.
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance of the outbound flight will be subject to our standard cancellation charges. 
  • This optional service may not be available for purchase on all flights.

  • How can I purchase Cancel For Any Reason?

Cancel For Any Reason is available for purchase on the options page of the booking path on Spirit.com.

 

  • How can I redeem my Cancel For Any Reason purchase?

Cancel For Any Reason can be redeemed on spirit.com using the steps below:

    1. Navigate to the My Trips page.
       
    2. Input your last name and the 6-digit confirmation code associated with your booking. This code is provided on your confirmation email. Still unable to locate your confirmation code? No worries, chat with us here.
       
    3. Scroll down on the Trips Summary page and select the Cancel Flight option located near the bottom of the page.

       
    4. Select the refund option you prefer. Please note you cannot change the refund option once it is applied.
       
    5. Select Cancel Reservation to confirm.
       
    6. Once completed, you will be taken to a Cancellation Confirmation page.
  • Refund Details: If you selected the refund option, you should expect to see the refund on your account within 7-10 business days.
  • Reservation Credit Details: If you selected the reservation credit option, you will receive an email with the credit details.

Cancel For Any Reason will automatically apply to all passengers on the reservation. Similarly, when you redeem Cancel For Any Reason, it will cancel the reservation for all passengers.
 

  • Can I use a reservation credit or voucher to purchase Cancel For Any Reason?

No, bookings with Cancel For Any Reason can only be purchased on Spirit.com with a credit or debit card.

 

  • I didn’t use the Cancel For Any Reason service that I purchased, can I get a refund?

The Cancel For Any Reason service is nonrefundable.
 

  • Is there a discount on Cancel For Any Reason for Spirit Savers Club members or Spirit Mastercard holders?
