Of course, a wheelchair and other assistive and mobility devices can be checked free of charge at the ticket counter or the gate.
Guests with disabilities who are traveling with a collapsible or foldable manual wheelchair are permitted to stow their chair inside the cabin depending on space availability at no additional cost. If there is no room in the cabin, the chair may be checked. Guests with disabilities are also permitted and encouraged to carry-on and stow any wheelchair parts such as seat cushions, side guards, leg rests, arm rests, and joysticks to avoid potential damage. Guests requesting priority stowage for their mobility devices must self-identify to Spirit staff and must take advantage of pre-boarding. Please ask any Spirit agent for assistance with priority stowage of your device.
