You can use your Free Spirit® points to book reward travel for yourself or for someone else.
Starting January 21, 2026, Free Spirit members can book reward flights for family or friends, even if the member is not traveling on the reservation.
You can use:
- Points, or
- Points + Cash
You can choose any Travel Option, including Value, Premium Economy, or Spirit First.
How to Book a Reward Flight Online
- Go to Spirit.com or open the Spirit Mobile App.
- Log in to your Free Spirit account and complete Multi Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Enter your trip details (cities, dates, and number of travelers).
- Select Show Fares in Points or switch the toggle to Points or Points + Cash.
- Choose your flight and Travel Option.
- Follow the steps to complete your booking.
Booking for Yourself with a Free Spirit® Specialist

Specialists cannot book reward travel for someone else. Bookings for family or friends must be made online or in the Spirit Mobile App.
Booking for Someone Else
You can use your points to book for a family member or friend. You must book these trips online or in the Spirit Mobile App only.
To book for someone else:
- Log in to your Free Spirit account
- Complete MFA
- Search and book the traveler’s trip
- Pay with Points or Points + Cash
- Enter the traveler’s information
You don’t need to travel with them. Booking emails will be sent to the Free Spirit member who completes the booking.
